Paroxismos da luz! tristes cantares!
Sahis da treva, em treva esquecereis!
Romanticos leitores não choreis;
Poupai-vos para os vossos máos azares.
Se navegaes por bonançosos mares,

A nuvem que se rompe nos parceis
De imprevistas borrascas de pezares.
