Han Yang is a science-fiction and fantasy writer whose series combine progression storytelling with game-influenced systems, military conflict, and large invented worlds. Earth’s First StarFighter, published in 2023, opens a space-adventure sequence in which a human recruit gains access to advanced technology and a wider interstellar struggle. The series later expands through volumes written with Michael Angel, placing the opening book within a collaborative continuing project. Reborn as a Baron Lord 3 belongs to a different setting and completes the initial Steampunk World of Gearnix trilogy. The book uses LitRPG conventions within a steampunk realm of machinery, rank, and territorial power; a later paperback edition carries the subtitle A LitRPG Steampunk.
