The Arbinger Institute

Arbinger is an institute rather than a person, which is why its books carry no author name on the cover. It was built on the work of C. Terry Warner, a philosopher at Brigham Young University who argued that most interpersonal conflict is self-deception, with people provoking the behaviour they then resent. Leadership and Self-Deception makes that case as a business parable; The Anatomy of Peace extends it to families and to international conflict. The institute sells consulting and training, and the books function as the entry point to both.
