About this book
My Friend Bobby is by Alan Edward Nourse. A speaker named Jimmy says he is five years old and that his friend Bobby is five years old too. The speaker says mommy says he shouldn't play with Bobby so much because after all Bobby is only a dog, but he likes Bobby.
The speaker reports that a doctor did not see any real need for a specialist because the speaker's bones were just a little slow in developing. Mommy tells the doctor how she thought the speaker knew what she was thinking. Daddy says it is horrible and that the boy is evil and monstrous. The speaker looks out the window and sees daddy carrying suitcases out through the snow to the car, and then mommy comes out running and the car starts down the hill and they are gone.
