About this book

The title page of Still, William says the book is by Richmal Crompton and illustrated by Thomas Henry. The contents list includes, among others, a chapter called The Bishop's Handkerchief.

A character turns to his Church History, takes his penknife, cuts out the desecrated pictures of the Saints and makes paper boats of them. Mr. Buck shouts that he has been Secretary of the Temperance Society for forty years, and Mr. Graham Graham sits in the road. The text shows the General emerging from a small first floor window and making a slow and ungraceful descent down a drain pipe. Hubert asks Joan, “Will you play house with me, Joan?”
