Published in 2015, the book pairs instructions with colour photography and explains a cuisine shaped by fresh ingredients, herbs, spices, hospitality, and local variation. Barzinji was born in southern Kurdistan and has lived in Britain since 1995. Her technical education in mathematics and computing sits beside interests in gardening and photography, while the book’s careful presentation turns household practice into an accessible record of Kurdish culinary heritage.
