Moore built Living Proof Ministries in Houston into the largest women's Bible study operation in American evangelicalism, filling arenas for decades and publishing through the Southern Baptist arm. In 2016 she criticised the Access Hollywood tape and the leaders who defended it, then pressed the denomination on how it treated women and abuse survivors, and in March 2021 she said she was no longer a Southern Baptist and ended the publishing partnership. Her memoir, All My Knotted-Up Life, describes abuse in her own childhood. The books listed here are the earlier teaching ones, written from inside the institution she later walked out of.
