Henry Herbert Knibbs (1874-1945) produced western novels, short fiction and verse during the early twentieth century. Riders of the Stars, published in 1916, is a collection of western verse. His fiction includes Overland Red, issued in 1914 with the subtitle A Romance of the Moonstone Cañon Trail, as well as Sundown Slim, The Ridin' Kid from Powder River, and the 1921 novel Partners of Chance. Knibbs's surviving papers contain manuscripts, correspondence, photographs, clippings, biographical material, and an unfinished autobiography titled A Boy I Knew.
