Strife is A Drama in Three Acts by John Galsworthy. The list of persons of the play names John Anthony, Chairman of the Trenartha Tin Plate Works, and Edgar Anthony, his Son. The list of persons also names Simon Harness, a Trades Union official.
Minutes of a Board Meeting held the 31st of January record letters from the Manager dated January 20th, 23d, 25th, 28th, relative to the strike at the Company's Works. A character named Rous says that he swore to stand by Roberts and that someone wants him to go back on what he has sworn. A motion moved by Mr. Wilder and seconded by Mr. Wanklin asks that the men's demands be placed at once in the hands of Mr. Simon Harness for settlement on the lines indicated by him this morning.
