verbes terminés à l'infinitif par ~er: parlé, spoken; acheté, bought; coupé, cut.

 

2. Le participe passé du verbe être est été, been.

 

3. Le participe passé du verbe avoir est eu, had.

 

PARTICIPE PRÉSENT

 

~ant est la terminaison du participe présent de tous les

verbes: parlant, speaking; achetant, buying; coupant, cutting; étant, being; ayant, having.

We left the barn early and everybody was happy to go to Ussel. You knocked at the door of a house. You were looking for a lodging. Fortunately there was a good inn in that village. We were also looking everywhere for a shop. Finally we found a shop where we immediately bought some shoes and a hat for Remi.
