ESTE LIVRO É BASEADO em entrevistas com David Gilmour, Nick Mason,

Roger Waters, Alan Parsons, Clare Torry, Lesley Duncan, Liza Strike, Barry

St. John, John Leckie, Peter Jenner, Bhaskar Menon e Aubrey Powell.

Ele nada seria também sem a riqueza de detalhes que tende

inevitavelmente a cercar qualquer material escrito sobre o Pink Floyd.

Minhas maiores dívidas são com Pink Floyd: In the Flesh, de Glenn Powell

e Ian Russell (Bloomsbury, 1997), o guia definitivo e maravilhosamente

apresentado sobre a carreira ao vivo da banda, recomendado sem restrição

alguma; e a Pink Floyd: The Press Reports (Collectors Guide Publishing,

2001), de Vernon Fitch, um dossiê incrivelmente detalhado que iluminou

meu caminho entre os arquivos da Biblioteca Britânica. As obras a seguir

também foram inestimáveis.

Talvez não tivesse chegado aonde cheguei sem dois DVDs que projetam

uma luz crucial sobre o período abordado na história do Pink Floyd. Classic

Albums: The Making of The Dark Side of the Moon (Eagle Vision, 2003)

representa o auge da arte do documentário musical, e devo agradecimentos

especiais ao seu co-produtor Martin R. Smith, pela ajuda vital nos contatos

com as fontes. Live at Pompeii: The Director’s Cut (Universal, 2002), de

Adrian Maben, é também muito recomendado, tanto como síntese da época

em que foi gravado quanto por oferecer uma bela visão da banda por volta
