article was a continuation of two earlier papers: “Contribution to the

study of the hematophagous ceratopogonids found in Brazil” [in

Port.], completed in March 1912 and published that same year, and

“Contribution to the study of the hematophagous ceratopogonids of

Brazil. Systematic part” [in Port.], completed in May 1912 and

published the following year. Prints numbers 8 and 9, signed by

Rudolph Fischer and printed by the lithographic company Hartmann

e Gustav Reichenbach (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), appear

between pages 98 and 99 of the third paper. [E.N.]
